Man says he moved pot plants to keep burglars away
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—Authorities said a man stopped with 17 marijuana plants in the bed of his pickup told police he was moving them to protect them from burglars who robbed his house the night before. Police said they arrested a 26-year-old man after receiving a tip that two men were loading pot plants onto a truck around noon Saturday. Police reported finding the plants beneath a cover in the truck bed.

13-year-old caught driving 85 mph
TAUPIRI, New Zealand, March 9 (UPI) -- A 13-year-old boy was caught driving almost 85 mph while his father slept in the passenger's seat, officials in New Zealand said.

ELKO, Nev. - A Florida truck driver got an unexpected passenger when an eagle busted through the windshield of his semitrailer on Interstate 80 in northeast Nevada. Mich. man pleads no contest in vacuum sex act case
SAGINAW, Mich. — A man has pleaded no contest to indecent exposure after police said he was arrested for performing a sex act with a car wash vacuum. The Saginaw News reported 29-year-old Jason Leroy Savage entered the plea Wednesday in Saginaw County Circuit Court. A no-contest plea is not an admission of guilt but will be treated as one at sentencing on March 25.

Man says veteran status should let him steal candy
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Authorities arrested a man who claimed he was justified in stealing candy at a truck stop because he had served in the military. Police said an officer confronted a 31-year-old man at the truck stop early Monday morning.
